The Earth Quaker Action Team is proud to present, thanks to the help of our videographers and our editor Stephen Dotson, a brand new video featuring our EQAT Marathon Runners Action from Nov 18.!
After PNC agreed to withdraw some financing from MTR coal companies, the Earth Quakers wanted a way to congratulate PNC – while making it clear to them that they weren’t done yet, and neither were we.
To drive that message home, we brought a team of 20+ Marathon Runners to take our victory lap at PNC Bank Regional Headquarters, and to thank them for taking “the first step” towards becoming a green bank.
PNC Bank security ended up locking their own front doors to keep us out – because, according to their security personnel, they were afraid of another non-violent direct action!
This action was a lot of fun, and it helped us make clear to PNC that we were gearing up to go even further. Now that we’re in 2011, it’s time to make that a reality!
